    Yeahhhh....

    Michael,

I'm going to have to unsub from this thread, too. I keep getting the notifications from the thread, thinking that someone is "struggling", only to read about underwear. I have Boundaries, people, Boundaries.

The idea of thread notifications is new to me. I've never used them here. I just pop in to see what's happening from time to time.

So will Anita and Mary be giving a pettipants "show and tell" (AKA 'demonstration') at next year's SG? All the while, the two Ryans and Michael conveniently book their summer vacations thousands of miles away during the exact same week..... ;0

Sorry, Jen, you are right....boundaries.... I just couldn't resist, which I had succesfully been doing up to now but just couldn't help it.

Wow! A lot can happen while a gal is fighting Atlanta traffic!

    1. I'm not one to discuss certain underthings in polite company...or at all. But pettipants, much like bloomers, seem pretty benign to me. My apologies to Michael for the embarrassment!

    2. Jen, you'll be happy to know that we can get right back to suffering. See below.

Ladies, can we please, please discuss the traffic situation in Atlanta? I think I went into cardiac arrest about a dozen times just trying to get the nine miles between our hotel and the hospital. Forget DD12, I needed a cardiologist before it was over! This is coming from a woman who has lived and driven in NYC/NJ and who has driven in DC, Boston and LA. Atlanta, hands down, is the worst. When a city needs stoplights to control the flow of traffic onto highway on ramps, they ought to realize they have a problem.

    Okay. Rant over.

Oldest DD is doing somewhat better on new meds and lifestyle changes. It's just going to be a lifelong thing, so we'll just keep whacking moles as they pop up. I am campaigning now to get all of her awesome specialists to move to Dallas. So far, it's not working.

I am still in limbo with DS10 - the Nurse Practitioner we saw at our ped's practice (the one who ordered the MRI based on his wonky symptoms) has left the practice and nobody seems to be able to tell me, once and for all, what on earth showed up on that MRI. I only have a verbal recommendation to confer with a neurosurgeon - this from the nurse. Ummmm, well, it's kind of hard to make an appointment by merely telling the receptionist at the neuro clinic that I'd just kind of like to come in. You know, for fun. *bangs head on keyboard* Details to come as I get them (but don't hold your breath).

Just for fun, DD6 complained to me in our hotel room in Jackson, MS (on our way to Atlanta, when I couldn't do anything) that her mouth hurt. She's not been eating well and keeps complaining that things hurt her mouth. I thought it was all part of her "it's too spicy" routine when she doesn't want to eat something. Well, this time when she refused macaroni and cheese, I took a look. Lo and behold, she has a permanent tooth coming up, sideways, well behind her baby teeth. That sucker is poking right at her tongue.

At the rate we're going with appointments and illness and such, my kids will still be in K, 4th and 6th ten years from now. *weary laugh*
