Hi! Here’s a link to a thread about MP & CC (hopefully it works, I’m technologically challenged on this forum!). I found it most helpful a few years back when we decided to switch...

I recently purchased The Green Ember for my eldest daughter’s Easter basket. I’m reading The Aeneid (using MP lit guide as well!), and have had Watership Down on my towering “to-read” stack for quite some time. Hence, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the comments in this thread!

Thanks everyone, this is helpful! We usually have one week where we stay on track, followed by another wherein we fall behind. I think the every-other-day suggestion might work well! If that doesn’t pan it, then using class time to teach and assigning workbook for homework should also be feasible....

Math lessons
R&S Math veterans,
I have 2 daughters in full MP cores (1st & 2nd) and a 4yr old hanging out. Because I need to utilize independent work where feasible to more efficiently manage teaching 2 separate cores, it often works out that my girls do their math workbook pages before we actually...

Thanks Jen, that all makes a lot of sense! I double checked (to make sure I wasn’t crazy!), and the Prairie School lit guide does indicate that at least once discussion question from the enrichment section should be completed each week (which corresponds to each chapter), with an emphasis/goal of...

Thanks to both of you for the feedback, and we actually do those things mentioned, it’s just that by the time we have done a few comprehension questions, and then throw in one of the discussion questions with a longer/more thoughtful answer, it becomes stressful. It sounds like neither of you were...

Reading/Discussion questions 2nd grade
Help! Ok after 2021 Sodalitas, I realized I was way too tough on my first grader, having her syllabicate and define as well as answer ALL the questions for STT/More STT. We are now in 2nd grade, and I’ve adopted the approach of only having her write definitions for words she can’t verbally define/offer...

Thanks for this post! I just thought to search on the forum for how to find PL Latin Flashcards, not realizing until I landed here to look for the PL in the corner of the card. I won’t say how many times I flipped through the entire stack of Lacey cards trying to locate the ones I needed for lesson...

Thank you Tanya! I just checked my account and haven’t received the downloads. I called yesterday and spoke to the office, and after talking through the changes it was collectively decided that my best course was to return what I had ordered for 1st & 2nd grade math in exchange for updated editions/additional...

New additions to Math for K-2nd
Hi, I received the spring magalog today and immediately noticed that the math curriculum has been changed, unfortunately after having ordered my 1st and 2nd grade materials a few months ago for the coming fall. Do I need to add the new Memoria Math Challenge books, and request new lesson plans? It also...

Are there new lesson plans to go along with the new edition of FSR Teacher Manual and Book D? I ordered the new set to get the extra practice and avoid the hopping around, but now with the addition of extra stories/dictations I am unsure of exactly when to do exactly what/which pages. Besides the addition...

MarmeeLaura I think it took my post a while to show up - it had to be approved, I guess because I’m new to the forum. Don’t feel too badly - we’ve all tried something that didn’t work, or that didn’t work as well as it could’ve...I’m so thankful I found Memoria Press after some other things...
