Does your child have a solid, working knowledge of Greek Myths already? In terms of chronologically, I would suggest Greek Myths before FMOR. But yes, agree with you that if you could only choose one for Memoria Academy, I would pick FMOR over D'Aulaires'.

The CGs have the students write out the words four times in the practice book by squeezing in two words per column, twice in pencil and twice with colored pencils. We also started writing the words in cursive at some point in TSII. We try to mix...

Hi Lizzie. Can you list the science classes she has taken in 6th-8th? And also, what state are you in? And are there any state requirements for how many science credits are needed in high school? Here in Tennessee, we are required to have three credits of science in high school for reference.

I may be the oddball of the group. Okay, I am the oddball.Our family loves the flashcards. My 3rd Grader loves the flashcards. All of them. Latin, Greek Myths, EGR, Christian Studies, States and Capitals and yes, even the Math operations. We use them in all subjects as they are listed in the guides...

My guess, and this is just a guess...
Rod & Staff intends for there to be a review of Book 1 for the first few weeks of Book 2 to refresh the students math muscles to get them back in gear before adding on new concepts. Since MP 1st Grade tackles Book 1 for 24 weeks and then jumps into...
