This doesn't answer your question about bilingual children (What a gift for them however you approach it!), but in terms of comparing Jr. K 2-day to the 5-day program, I'll just share my experience. I did a two-day schedule with my oldest to free up the other days for play dates with friends and outings,...

Same here! Registered for Sodalitas (in-person), Teacher Training (virtual), and also paid the extra $25 for TT plenaries. Happy to do so, but just chiming in that that looks like how it's set up for those of us who are virtual.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to chime in that this sometimes overthinking, indecisive procrastinator just registered for Sodalitas and booked a flight and hotel. Feeling excited to join you all and get equipped and encouraged for our 7th year homeschooling with exclusively MP materials....

And enbateau I just have to heartily agree about the Classical Composition Fable talk. I was trying not to dread that course, and I'm actually really looking forward to it now. Quite the reversal!...

Thanks for the recommendation pickandgrin ! I'll definitely add that to my list of talks to circle back to, which is already alarmingly long. ?

I thought I'd add just one more idea in case it's helpful. It may be something you do already. We almost always have a bedtime read aloud going that's something engaging and challenging for the kids. Hi! Just hopping on to say I have a rising 2nd grader and 4th grader as well. (I happen to also have a B.A. in History.) Welcome!
This will be our fifth year homeschooling, and also our fifth year using Memoria Press. We've had a really wonderful experience thus far and I'm looking forward...Last edited by AudreyN; 05-18-2020, 05:14 PM.

Hi all! I'm just getting my books in order to start next week and found a "Phonics Guide for Reading and Spelling" I'd saved from when my son went through 1st grade in 2016-2017. I just wanted to confirm that this was phased out? My assumption is that maybe all of this information was rolled...

Thanks so much for the feedback, everybody! howiecram Colomama enbateau, I'm really intrigued by this idea of the using Simply Classical C. I think it might be a real relief to have a well-thought-out plan in place for 4 days of the week rather than 2. Thanks!
Fireweed Prep, you make a...

Jr. Kindergarten and the Other Three Days
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I'm not great at combing through the archives. This upcoming year I'll have a "more school please, Mama" Jr. Kindergarten student along with a son doing 3A and a 1st grade daughter. The aforementioned eager daughter is also known to get into "fairy...

Re: Status Report: How's everybody doing?
Anita,
THANK YOU. I've honestly never thought of scheduling school time this way. I'm definitely going to implement. And it sounds like if I follow your advice I will lie down about as often as I have to these days...

Re: Status Report: How's everybody doing?
Jen,
Thanks for the practical tips! I like the idea of special boxes for littles while I work with big brother....
