Just to add, the purpose of the pdf shared on the Simply Classical post is to avoid making a wall chart. I print them on standard paper and laminate them, so they are small and easy to use at the dining table. I can see the value of showing the array and trust R&S in their visuals. There are...

I use the large ziploc bags, I think they are 2.5 gallons that I buy at Wal-Mart. I also hate to throw things away, but this gives me a reasonable limit to what I can keep. During the year anything completed goes in a bankers box. At the end of the year we sit down on the floor and sort out everyone's...

The first page with the X of numbers is just for going through a set of multiplication facts. So if you were reviewing 2 facts, you'd point to the 1 and say "2x1" and they would answer, then, point to the 2 and say "2x2", repeating through all 12 numbers. It's not necessary to...

I also found these number posters for free and printed them. They are simple and I think they'll help with skip counting for each number.

I used Microsoft Publisher and free clipart from the internet. I have really benefited from the 8x11 size visual aids for 2nd grade, so I really wanted something that size for 3rd. I've found I actually use them if I can store them easily in a file folder.
I haven't made anything else...

I didn't realize someone had already made something, so I worked on these a few weeks ago. I haven't printed them and checked for errors yet, so if someone finds an error let me know so I can fix it! We'll start using this in July. Hope it helps someone!

The actual keys are in the Blacklines. Do you have those? They include a key for multiplication and division of each fact.

Re: Rod and Staff Math
I am looking at lesson 2--not sure if this is what you are referencing or not. Where it says CHALKBOARD, they want you to prepare everything in that section on the board just like it shows. All of that is used for the lesson parts. For a classroom,...

Re: SC 5 & 6: Big Announcements
I am thinking through our personal plans, which are a mix of MP cores and SC curriculum. For my daughter, we did not do SC3 with the American history loop.
Will American history readers/read alouds be included in SC 5-6/7-8 in...

Re: Grade 2 review?
I'm not sure if you've looked at this before but the HSLDA (homeschool legal defense association) has a 143 page pdf citing cases involving joint custody and homeschooling. Here's the link. If you want to go to your profile settings and enable private messages on...

Re: SC 5 & 6: Big Announcements
Jen,
Yes, I am wondering if they are referencing the same thing, just listed separately by mistake. I wasn't sure though, so hopefully they'll clarify.

Re: SC 5 & 6: Big Announcements
Cheryl,
I am sorry, but I am still confused by the Classical Studies. It is listed separate from Greek Myths but I don't know of any Classical Studies 1 TM, workbook and flashcards. Is this sold as part of one of the MP cores? Does it...

Re: SC 5 & 6: Big Announcements
I may have missed this information, but is the Classical Studies 1 created just for SC or is that an existing product? It looks like that will be a TM, optional student guide and flashcards. Does that contain the greek myths teaching without using...

Re: Grade 2 review?
While I haven't experienced joint custody, I can share that if you are open to year-round homeschooling, this can easily be done 3-4 days/week when you had the child/children in your home. My husband is a firefighter so he works 24 hours, then is off 48 hours. We...
