My two youngest children have done SC for years. Before that, from ages 2 and 3 to about 5 and 6, I started the day with reading to them/ playing with them and called it Preschool, even before we were doing anything else academic. Then they had “quilt time” for about 30 minutes. My husband suggested...

Thank you so much, Cheryl! I’ll call them this morning.
That’s one benefit of homeschooling, right? I can let Alex go ahead in areas where he shines while staying with 5/6 for Spelling and finishing Math 2/ starting Math 3, which is where he is in those subjects.
I’ll...

Update for this year
I can’t find my post about this school year ahead. So I’m starting a new one to give an update on what I decided to do. I talked to the lady who does Learning Therapy with our boys.
I’m going to continue on in Simply Classical 5/6 with both boys together, except…

Cheryl, thank you. I think we’re getting closer. That’s pretty much what I have been doing for Farmer Boy. Alex and I read more pages. Then the next day I may have Alex reread and Nathan pick a couple of pages to read aloud to me. I like the idea of having an extra reading time for Alex to read...

I thought about doing the one year pace for the subjects we do together and that way staying together for Latin, Classical and Christian...

Hello, we have used SC for years now, mostly with our two youngest sons together. We adopted them at ages 2 and 3 in Eastern Europe. After lots of work together, therapies and Simply Classical Curriculum, we finished the school year in the very middle of Level 5, the two year pace. It didn’t feel...

Making a fun connection!
I am a few weeks into SC 5 with my boys. We are all three beginning to get more acquainted with the Greek Myths. Tonight I am wearing a sweatshirt my oldest son bought for me when he was getting out of the Coast Guard last winter. My youngest looked at the picture on my back and exclaimed, “That’s...

Review box question
In SC 5/6, there’s a suggestion to make a review box. I’m planning to make one this week. Will that review take the place of the reviews listed at the beginning of some subjects on the lesson plans?

SC 5/6 question
I am excited to be finishing SC4 on Friday, hopefully! SC 5/6 is on order to begin in January. I have an email with Downloads due Christian Studies tests, Farmer Boy quizzes and tests, etc. Is this the only place I have a copy of all these? Just wondering if I should go ahead and print them all so I...

Math 3 is going very well with my 13 year old, but I have one question...what are the Triplets flash cards? I can’t find them.
