I am in the process of ordering for our 5th grade year, and am wondering about the Latin course in the package. My daughter (10), worked through Latina Christiana last year, however we did not complete the course before summer. My intention was to carry on with it during...

Re: Farmer Boy
Thank you! Not sure why I didn't think of having her re-read the chapter prior to the review! This will work!
Thanks again,

Farmer Boy
My daughter has picked up Farmer Boy, and just about finished it already! What do I do about the study guide? I have been working week by week with it, but we are only on the Chapter 8 review, and she is on Chapter 24 in the book. Would you suggest that we keep on working the weekly literature guides...

Re: Start Dates - When are you starting?

I have looked at the samples online, and they look like good books for our summer review. In your opinion, would the Teacher Manual be necessary?
Thank you again!

Thank you,

How right you are!! I am so excited to have discovered this forum and Memoria Press! I am really looking forward to our 3rd grade year. I just hope my daughter...

Thank you for these helpful responses! I will go ahead with the accelerated track. What do you suggest I do with the Latin as we progress? Since we will be starting with Latina Prima, will we always be one behind on the accelerated track? Would this even matter?

Moderated vs Accelerated Path
I am new to MP, and have been spending much time researching and trying to decide where to place my daughter. She is turning 9 on July 7, and I plan to get the 3rd grade package since we have not used MP previously. I am leaning toward the accelerated plan, as she is quite advance in her language...
