Cindy in Indy Cindy, as always, you have great advice. Thank you for replying! I missed seeing you in person this year at training. Jessica and I are always encouraged by you, especially as we have more high schoolers at HLN.

What have you used and what do you think about what you used to help your child prepare for the ACT specifically? I'm interested in everything from hiring a tutor to buying the ACT Princeton Review book to online programs. I will add that motivation on the part of the student in my situation is lacking....

Which cursive for 4th grade?
I'm teaching a class of 4th graders, none of whom know cursive. Which cursive book would you recommend to parents?

Upon further investigation about these ebooks, they are not audible. They are PDFs. I was hoping they were audible. Sadness.

Re: Plan to put Upper Grade books on Audio?
Love this idea. My brother would love to read. My daughter is delaying US History until I can help her more. Still working on The Story of Christianity.

Re: Alg 1 and Alg 2 placement for new students
Cindy,
It’s quite possible I misunderstood about using problems from the actual finals. I see your point here about why that’s not such a good idea. Thank you!

Alg 1 and Alg 2 placement for new students
Cindy in Indy,
You mentioned at the CLSA teacher training that you use certain questions from the Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 finals to see if new students have mastered that material before placing them in the next math class. Would you mind sharing what questions from the algebra one and algebra...
