1st grade Literature

Just a quick question... For 1st grade literature should the student be able to read the selections themselves or should we be reading them aloud? My son did great with Little Bear but once we got to Caps for sale he has struggled. I almost feel that for him to enjoy it and get anything from it right...

Core skills

On week 2 for phonics it lists pp 15-16 in core skills 2 as consonant review. The pages are sounds of c and sounds of g. On the next day it lists those same pages again.... Then again the next day it says p. 38 as (o) but my page is short vowel e words....hope that makes ...

I just purchased and downloaded the lesson plans for first grade spelling and phonics but it is the older ones... What do I need to do to get the newer version? I had already even printed it before I noticed

We are beginning Kindergarten next week. As I have been preparing I noticed that in week one the Rod and Staff Lesson 1 is listed twice during the week and Practice sheet Ls. 1 is also listed twice. Just wondering if this is a mistake or if we just do the same lesson again? Thanks!
