From the sample pages I see, verbs are taught without the principal parts. Since starting Henle last year and having a tough time getting the students to memorize the principal parts after using LC I and II, I would like to know why FFL doesn't just start off having the students memorize principal...

Section D #3. Poets love a happy song. Your answer is "Poetae carmen laetum amant."
Why is carmen laetum in the nominative case? "a happy song" is not a direct object?

"fugae." But I'm not sure how this is the answer.

Ludere Latin I question
Can someone help me? This is from p.24 (lesson 6 grammatical forms crossword.) The clue for 19 down is "of the flight." Would that be the ablative form of fuga? If it is, then the answer would be "fuga." But there are five spaces and the last letter is an "e."
