Even as an extrovert, I completely agree with this. I had to explain to my oldest homeschooled daughter that no, I don't have loads and loads of friends -- I have LOTS of acquaintances, but only a handful of friends with whom I am very close. Friends come and go in your lives, even into adulthood,...

When my kids were small, we did more social activities during the day, because our academics didn't take that long. Now that they're older, our activities are generally in the late afternoon, so that we can get things finished.

Differences between editions of flashcards?
It's the time of year when I start making a list of what I need for next year --- and I'm checking editions of items that I already have. I noticed that some of the flash cards (FMMA, for example) are now a second edition.
Can someone give me a run down of the differences between the first...

I have a few thoughts re: Literature
I agree with jen1134 --- that...

My two cents -- as a mom of a daughter who loves life science, but struggles with math ---
We went with the MPOA 'track' for science --- Tiner books in 6th grade (Earth, Medicine, and Astronomy) and 7th grade (Bio/Chem/Physics) then Novare Physical Science in 8th grade. We chose Bio for...

You'll need to be logged in, then just drop the term into the search box at the top of the webpage, or right above your post. This may look different on mobile. (I'm on desktop currently)
I also search in Google for the MP forum like this:

For me, I divide it up into organizing teacher stuff, student stuff, and supplies. And over the years, my system has ebbed and flowed. Currently, it's a bit of a hot mess, as we're in the 'wrap up this year and plan the next'.
This the step by step approach about how I get all my ducks...

Second Form Latin Simply Classical Plans?
I'm looking at teaching Second Form Latin this fall at home with the help of DVDs, but I'd love to do this Simply Classical style, with extra review, multisensory tips, etc.
ββββββDo SC SFL lesson plans exist, or has anyone taught it at home in this way and can offer tips?...
