Third Form Lesson 27 adjectives
Hi,
The text for Lesson 27 states that some adjectives only have the positive degree, including piger.
One of the form drills was "pigrior." (workbook, p. 218, A-4)
We're confused.
Thanks for any help!

Question about purpose clauses
Hi,
On p. 72 in the Third Form text it says the main clause of a purpose clause is in the indicative, and the subordinate clause is in the subjunctive. Is this always true? I ask because a couple of the translation exercises in lesson 25 (p. 194, nos. 4 and 5) have subjunctive verbs...

Third Form, Lesson 25, Drill F
Hi,
This Drill F is labeled as "Perfect Passive" when it should be "Pluperfect Passive." Also the instructions given at the top of the page do not apply to this drill...so we weren't sure what to do with numbers 1-5. We went from subjunctive to indicative and the answers...

Third Form Latin Lesson 24 Translation
Hi,

For example, "Aves volant...

Confused about Third Form lessons XXI and XXII
Hopefully I can explain my confusion clearly!
First--on p. 68 of the TM notes for lesson XXI, it says that we have already learned the use of deliberate questions in this unit, when we have not.
And speaking of deliberative questions, in Lesson XXI we learn "Deliberative...

Third Form Latin, Lesson 20 questions
Our questions aren't about the subjunctive which seems very straightforward so far...
In Part VI, Translation, No. 14, "propter" is translated as "because of" but we learned it as "on account of," while "ob" means "because of." They are...

Third Form Latin, Unit III Review
Hi,
A couple questions about Part VI, Translate section:
No. 7 Hujus regis amicitia juvatur. The key translates the verb as "has been helped" but shouldn't it be "is helped"?
No. 11. You, not I, will lead this army. The key translates...

Third Form Lesson 19 questions
We have several questions about this lesson.
Form drills, Drill A, no. 3. I know the corrections page changes "pretium" to "donum" but we are curious about "pretium." The TM lists that answer as "prize", but the glossary defines it as "price"....
