High/Low Tech Figures of Description created in OneNote

Figures of Description visuals/examples for Classical Composition

High Tech: I used the OneNote app on my iPad to create and organize visuals to illustrate each of the figures of description. Along with the definition, I included several examples from the CC guide, and pictures grabbed from Google images.

With this, you could hand your child the iPad and have him/her click on the figure being used.
Or, you can print each of them on cardstock and create a pile of "manipulatives" for your child to sort through.

Low Tech/"Throwback" version: you could cut out pictures from magazines, newspapers, or other sources and mount them onto index cards. You could handwrite the figure of description and a few examples on the card.
