    2023 conference

I saw the registration opened today. Will there be more detail coming on session content and speakers for Sodalitas? Right now there are just titles. Will there be speakers at the teacher training conference? It looked like some awards presentations, but no plenary speakers or topics were listed.

Hi Mom2mthj we have released the bios and sessions for Sodalitas here. Are you able to see those? Want to make sure we don't have a technical glitch!

The Teacher Training synopses can be found here. Plenary titles will be announced at a later date, as well as the speaker for the Community Lecture on that Wednesday night.

Thanks! I saw the white boxes with the titles, but missed the gray buttons above them.

My wife is not a teacher in one of the MP Latin schools, but teaches our three girls here at home. She is nervous she would be a fish out of water at the teacher conference. What do you think? What is the intended audience? She has been teaching MP curriculum for three years but wants to firm things up in a couple key areas, especially composition. I would want this to be a good experience for her.

I personally think homeschoolers attending their first conference will benefit the most from attending the Sodalitas training (Mon/Tu) vice the teacher training. After getting her feet "wet" at the in person Sodalitias conference, another year or two, the teacher training. might be the next step. Perhaps she does the in person Sodalitas and then the virtual teacher training at home.

(it keeps auto correcting Sodalitas -not sure I corrected them all!!)

              Hello.

Homeschoolers are welcome to attend teacher training, and your wife won't feel alone if she chooses to attend. The goal of teacher training is specifically to train classroom teachers using our curriculum, but the majority of information our teachers impart is applicable to teaching at home. The main difference is going to be group games. I agree with Christine that virtual teacher training is a good option too, but if she wants to come for the entire week, we would love to have her and promise to treat her well!
