    OT: Prayer Request

Friends, my beloved 83-year-old father was admitted yesterday to the hospital for chest pains, and we received the shocking news today that he needs six-hour open-heart surgery tomorrow (Thursday) in St. Louis. I will be with him and with family for a time.

Prayers welcome and greatly appreciated. I will keep you posted.

Certainly. I pray for his health; endurance, comfort, peace, resilience, and his body’s total healing in a rapid manner. I pray for you; your heart, your anxiety, your husband, your children, your mom and the rest of your family. I pray for his doctors; their hands, minds, focus, clarity and staffing. I pray for time — in every sense that it is needed.

Please do, keep us posted. (Bear hugs)

Praying, Cheryl. Are you all at Barnes? We aren about 30 minutes from downtown. I’m happy to bring a meal or two for you all. Let me know if I can help!

Prayers for you and your father. I have had 2 open heart surgeries. I will keep him in my prayers as he recovers as well. If you have any questions about the recovery process I am happy to tell you about it.

Thank you all. My dad is out of surgery. All went well. We get to see him soon.

Katie, we're at Mercy in St. Louis. You are so sweet. Thank you for the offer. We're taking little breaks at the Mercy cafeteria, which is quite nice, so we will be okay today. I love this hospital -- Twenty-third Psalm over the intercom comforted my dad last night.

                    Thanks for prayer, everyone.

Oh I’m glad you are at Mercy! I love that hospital. I spent several weeks there on bedrest and then 7 weeks in the NICU when my twins were born. The staff is excellent and you are right, the cafeteria is great for a hospital! You all are in great hands!
