    Mama Brag

So proud of my babies! We are actually getting formal catechism done (like typical students!) and my babies are taking turns reading their assigned reading. I’m just proud as punch!
    Can I get an AMEN?

Of course. Spread the legend, far and wide. (Totally kidding.)

Seriously, I post these on occasion because my heart is just so full of love for my incredible children, but mostly to inspire and encourage that tired Mama who is disheartened, confused, depressed, or just got a challenging diagnosis for her own child. My sweet babies prove that, “Love never fails,” (1 Corinthians 13:8). But our success is also mostly just a relentless defiance (heh). Defiance of the fear we faced (daily sometimes) that our children would not — could not — learn to read, write, do basic math, understand holiness, ride a bike, take care of themselves, or enjoy art and literature.

These videos are sort of my proof that if you stand in the breach and refuse to let fear in, you can — ahem — kicks its butt. I always sort of see myself as Gandalf in The Fellowship of the Ring (movie) facing down the Balrog. Everyone has been moved to safety and he puts himself between Fellowship and the demon, stamps his staff and roars, “YOU! SHALL NOT. PASS!” Chokes me up, every time.

Probably more information than you wanted, but in short — yes! Use everything I post.
                XOXOXOXO
