Susan P, would you please email me, so I can ask you a question in some detail:

And no, "all of the above" is not a winning answer!

    To all --
We have narrowed it down. If I can find Tanya, we may have an announcement soon.

      Skills Enrichment?

      Social Enrichment?

      Social Skills Enrichment?

      Lifelong Enrichment?

      Continuing Enrichment?

I like "Enrichment". That's spot on.

        We have a winner!

        Myself & Others:
Lessons for Social Understanding, Habits, & Manners

        A Simply Classical Resource

        (c) All Rights Reserved.

Yes, several of us at MP loved JessicaP (pickandgrin)'s subtitle so much, we made it the title.

JessicaP, you are the winner and will receive the $10 off your first purchase of any level. We will tell the MP sales staff, so they will be ready for you when the time comes. Thank you!

        1) We cannot easily use "Enrichment," even though this is a good term. MP Enrichment is widely known to be K-2 art, music, science, history, literature, so we sidestepped it for this SC title.
        2) This morning Tanya suggested that we place "Simply Classical" in lighter letters on the book, rather than in the title, because this program will appeal to those outside MP/SC and even outside "classical." Instantly this gave us greater flexibility, and we could then continue to draw from the remainder of your suggestions.
        3) Both Martin Cothran & our copy editor Jen wanted a subtitle to explain clearly what the lessons will teach, yet one sufficiently broad terms to cover the content of all four levels. This was wise.
        4) Everyone's suggestions at MP and on this forum helped guide the final title, so thank you to all!
        5) I have seen the formatted first draft of the first level and am very hopeful that you will like having these lessons in your hands.

        Now the real work continues....

Re: Naming Contest for SC Social-Emotional

Is there a tentative date for the SC Social-Emotional to be released? Wasn't sure if I missed it as I am trying to get caught up with old forum discussions over the past few months.

              Thank you!

Re: Naming Contest for SC Social-Emotional

                Good morning, Heather.

Not yet! I could share the book list for all four levels, if that will help.

All four levels are written and being prepared for purchase.

Re: Naming Contest for SC Social-Emotional

Please pardon the very rough format. This has been pasted from various locations, but here they are. Family is hungry, so I decided to post without waiting for someone to ask!

Book One, Book Two, Book Three, Book Four function as Curriculum Manuals with 14 weeks of 4-day per week lessons each.

Note that nothing is available for purchase yet, not even the books listed here. Note too that I do not have ISBNs listed for all books, but we hope to have all of these available for the final posting.

Much behind-the-scenes publishing work remains to be accomplished, but we're inching forward:

Re: Naming Contest for SC Social-Emotional

Cheryl, would you recommend going in numerical order or are these tied to maturity / comprehension levels?

I'm guessing the guide will be similar to the SC Enrichment guides with a reading schedule, true?

This looks great. Thanks for your diligent work on this.

Re: Naming Contest for SC Social-Emotional

                          Thank you, Colomama!

You are welcome. I am especially thrilled to find a good use for some of the good MP read-alouds we could not squeeze into the SC levels!

Yes, you will have a reading schedule each day with brief accompanying lessons.

As with SC, Myself & Others will have both age and ability suggestions by level, along with readiness assessments for good placement. These will be on the website when everything is ready.

Re: Naming Contest for SC Social-Emotional

Looks great Cheryl! I'd love to know what the proposed age breakdown is for each level. I'm not sure where we'd start.

                            A (10) - Barton, R&S math 3, SC 3
                            C (9) - Barton, R&S math 2, SC 3
                            G (5) - Simply Classical C

Re: Naming Contest for SC Social-Emotional

Yes, we will include recommended ages when the time comes!
