Re: Children's Encyclopedias and Dictionaries
We have this dictionary -- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 We haven't used it enough to really give an opinion.
For encyclopedias, we have a set of Childcraft books. They're a set of encyclopedias from the 1930's - 1980's or so. So they wouldn't be great for more modern topics obviously. But I love them. Here's a blog post about them. http://www.plumfieldandpaideia.com/c...ries-overview/
I also have a few Usborne ones -- World History and 1st Science I think. I think they are great books too.

Children's Encyclopedias and Dictionaries
Does anyone have recommended Children's Encyclopedias and Dictionary choices? We have a Children's Dictionary, that we bought second hand, but it contained 3 of the words we needed!
I'm thinking specifically about using them for SC3.
I'm looking at the Usborne Grade 1-4 ones, but there are sooo many I don't know which to choose! I was thinking a grade 1-4 would be helpful so she could do most of the reading herself, at some point.Last edited by howiecram; 06-04-2017, 02:38 PM.Tags: None
