Well, that was fun to look at! Just one thing, the link for copybook 3 is the regular copybook 3! It is different, yes?

Also, there is a picture in the "add on" set that has Core Skills Language arts 3, instead of core skills 3, the link is correct though.

I see the R&S grade 1 flash cards in the "new to SC" add on package, these are going to be used in SC3? (those are the ones in the picture) What about flashcards for the 11-18 facts?

Lastly, I see you can choose to change the writing edition, but wondered if there was a way to add on the 2nd writing edition, if you wanted both? I know you can go over and add it, but then it wouldn't get a package discount. So, could a choice be one or two?

Christine, you were the perfect person to proof the preliminary "reveal!"

I can answer the first question tonight:

SC Copybook 3 may appear the same as the MP Copybook due to some verses of overlap, but see the Table of Contents for differences.

We'll work on answering the other questions tomorrow, when we can look more closely!

      Thanks-
      Cheryl

It's the cover they are showing though of the regular copybook 3, I did not actually look inside. I found the SC version though, so I did look inside that one! (the correct one is listed under SC under "Christian Studies, Memories and Manners). However, in the core package, if you click on Copybook 3, the regular Copybook 3 comes up. Also, under the customizable feature, the picture of the regular copybook is appearing as well.

P.S. I'm just a tad excited. My cart is loaded (that is how I figured the problem about the copybook..if you click the link, the regular one shows up). I almost hit "pay" but am containing myself for a bit! I would like to have the books before Sodalitas though, so I can ask loads of questions!

I also think, after looking at the samples more, that one writing book will be plenty. There is so much between the writing and the story time treasures that I think we have more than "enough"!

        It's really looking fabulous!

Squeal! So excited for this. Is it ready for shipping?

As far as math flashcards, I purchased the smaller rod and staff flashcards directly from them. There is a set for subtraction and one for addition, both go through fact 18. We love them. Highly highly recommend!

              It looks good!

Is the Enrichment Guide sample pretty indicative of the guide as a whole?

Yes, but don't let the seeming simplicity fool you. The actual books do the "work" of teaching history, just as the art and music selections each week will do the true enriching. The science topics guide your own questioning, exploring, and discussions, often linked to the read-alouds. Science leans on the teacher more heavily than the other subjects. The composer and music information is provided for anyone who wants it.

For our returning SC students, all K-2 art cards are reviewed over the course of the year, so the student will be taught dozens of artists, art periods, and art appreciation techniques from the front of the Enrichment Guide. Similarly, science helps are included in the front of the guide.

In other words, while the sample is representative, it does not give a full picture of the Science, Culture, and History each student will study over the course of SC 3.

                    I see everything got fixed!

My only question left is about the grade 1 math flashcards? Colomama mentioned she had some R&S ones that went to 18. I have a set from R&S as well, but they only go to 10. What are the ones that come with the "new to SC add on package"?

Lastly how is "Wagon Wheels" used? I thought perhaps it was part of the "More Storytime Treasures" but it is not in the package. I also don't see an MP guide for it. Is it supplemental, enrichment?

Does the enrichment guide let you know, by week, perhaps in the appendix, what science topics are covered each week (so we can get necessary books prior)? I was basically planning on having my daughter just read those "let's read and find out about science, Gail gibbons and Cat and the hat learning library" books for "science" but having a nice little plan would be helpful! I think it is going to be perfect!

                          Math flashcards
At Colomama's urging to include fact cards to 18 (or beyond), and after examining options, we decided to offer these: https://www.memoriapress.com/curricu...on-flashcards/. They are sturdy, affordable, easy to read, and go to 20.

                          Wagon Wheels
Wagon Wheels is inserted to provide more depth to our study of American history while offering oral reading practice. You will find the needed (minimal) instructions for this selection in your Curriculum Guide.
