    Dictation

Would it be alright to begin SC 5/6 dictation (from Intro to Comp) as prepared dictation? I think that my child will be able to do the dictation, but not right off the bat. I was thinking to use the dictation sentences from 2nd grade as dictation (we didn't use them) as an on ramp to pure dictation. Thoughts?
