    New MP math flash cards!!

Just found out that MP has their own math flashcards from this thread, if you missed it! https://forum.memoriapress.com/forum...pace-rod-staff I am hoping these will be added to the SC cores!! (And more made). Here is the link, if you do not want to read the other thread. These cards are only addition and subtraction, FYI. https://www.memoriapress.com/curricu...ction-0-to-18/

Yes! We will transition to these for our Simply Classical levels. Remember all of those discussions here about desired qualities of arithmetic flash cards?? Thanks to MP we now have easy-to-handle, visually uncluttered, logical cards to help with + and - automaticity.

If x and / cards emerge from MP, SC will transition to those as well.

Until then, feel free to order the + and - cards and substitute wherever we use + and - cards in SC.

If you have anyone in your home who likes to play school, any old cards can go to the bin of Pretend School supplies!

I've pieced together my SC2 and SC4 because I already had some of the materials. My flashcards are the Rod and Staff first grade set. Will these work or do I need to order different ones? Thanks! We are super excited to get started!!

I actually think, especially for SC1 & 2 (which uses R&S 1), the R&S cards you have are best. I think the new cards are great for 2nd and up. The R&S set has the “before”numbers, patterns, etc that I think are beneficial. I have found sharing a set anyway to be a challenge, so I think you would use the new set AND the one you own!
