SC Moms Schedule for 2019

The SC Moms have an online meetup on the Third Tuesday of each month and we would love for you to join us!

The meetup is completely free. We share our victories and challenges, receive insights from friends who have "been there", and go off on tangents about gray hair and regional accents!

Our schedule for 2019 is below (we meet at 8pm EST):

Please note that today's (1/22/19) Delectare announcement will not affect SC Moms. My husband and I have a Zoom account for our business and we will switch to using that for SC Moms beginning this summer. I will send updated login information when that time comes.

I missed this today guys...I had planned to post and say I wouldn’t be there but I forgot!

Hope it was great

We have gone totally screen free (which is helping with my son’s anxiety which went NUCLEAR), but of course, that makes it hard to chat during the day with you guys...I will hopefully have a babysitter next time.

Hi Grace! I just tried again without success so I think I’ll go rally my troops to get on with our work for the day.

How are you and your family managing?

We are having some behavioural issues with my 7yo. We went on a short holiday and he coped fine with that (mostly), but we are back to super loud voice, reacting to everything and can’t do anything on his own again. I was feeling like it was all because I’d had a short fuse with PMT but now I’m realising actually, the short fuse was getting set off not without reason, but it was making it worse. I was feeling so terrible...I went to the local chemist warehouse and bought myself a bunch of herbal remedies! I need to find a way that I can get away for a little bit and get calm and patient...hard without screen time! (Which they are watching now ‘our monthly screen time!’ my daughter was protesting this morning, it sure does keep them pacified).

Time for me to go peel them away from the screen!

I will write an update soon if we don't reschedule the monthly SC Moms group.
It has been a rough month so far! God sustains us, though, and we keep moving forward with the good things. Routine is soothing and beauty heals!
I am sorry to hear about your 7-year old. I have a middle son who turns 7 this Thursday and we have had regressive behaviors somewhat similar to what you describe. Maybe we can compare notes?
At the very lease, we can encourage one another on this journey.

OH MY GOSH. I feel so horrible about this!! It’s been an insane month and I was afraid of forgetting so I made sure it was on both calendars and I still forgot! I spent 5-6 hours yesterday prepping for a major client meeting we had this morning and then crashed with fatigue this afternoon (one of my lovely hormonal shifts hit this week *facepalm*).

Guys, I am SO sorry!

Is everyone free on Thursday or Friday??
