At one point there was a class of European history II. Will this class be taught again in Memoria Academy? I would love my kid to take European history I and European history II through MA

Every time Euro II was offered, less than a handful registered in spite of two Euro I classes the previous year. If MA plans to offer it again, perhaps a schedule could be published so people can plan around that? Even every 3 years would allow people to get Euro I in first. Or maybe a one year pace that is not AP?DD18 | MA Graduate | Studying Music & Classical Languages

Maybe the class title hindered it? Maybe people thought they had to take two years of Euro and decided after one to not take more? I wonder if called them by dates covered like colleges so if you would get more interest in the more modern one?Debbie- mom of 7, civil engineering grad, married to mechanical engineer

Prerequisites: Completion of American History I, or the equivalent content and time periods. Students should be able to read a college-level textbook, be willing to work hard, and be able to write grammatically correct, complete sentences.DD18 | MA Graduate | Studying Music & Classical Languages

Great questions and suggestions here. We found that most students who completed European History I continued on to take AP European History, which is a more natural track for those really interested in European history. European History II just hasn't been popular enough to keep in the Modern History offerings, even on a rotating basis.
Regarding the prerequisites for European History II, completion of European History I or a course covering the equivalent time period was recommended.
Thank you!
