Teacher Guide: are they really necessary?

Hello Mr. Piland,

I have just registered my 2 kids for the Classical Studies I class: the book list indicates that I need to buy the teacher guides for the two Dorothy Mills books. I'm a bit surprised, and would like to know if this is truly mandatory, or just a suggestion (for instance, if we wanted to compare our kids' answers to the one suggested in the guide) - and if mandatory, what the reason for this is.

The Teacher books are optional. Some folks do get them so they can spot-check more easily. I hope this helps!
