    Algebra I over the summer?

My 14yo had to retake pre-algebra this year (using MPOA now!) and he is doing well. Since he is already a freshman, he would like to "catch up" to a normal high school track for math and has been asking about the possibility of taking Algebra I over the summer. Is MPOA considering anything like this?

    Hi Jennifer,

Thank you very much for the message! I do have a teacher that has expressed some interest in doing this. We already have an Algebra I Review that is 8 weeks, but we have thought about an Algebra I course that is specifically designed for what you are talking about. I should have some more information on that in the coming months.

    Does this help?

    Thank you!

Any updates on this one? Trying to figure out if I need to hold a spot in next year’s schedule for Algebra I or if we can move on to Algebra II

        Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for the followup! At this point I think it is probably a no-go. I should have Algebra I times by Friday.

        Thank you!
