.....Evidently, last night, my 9 year old daugther slept walked into her older brother's room, slammed the door open, and in her sleep said, "Will you quiz me on my flashcards?"

You know your child is classically educated when...

They muse aloud in the car "I wish Memoria Press offered First Form Elvish..."

But which form? Sindarin over Quenya? ... which would be more practical...?

This is not the first discussion of First Form Elvish, or of Sindarin vs. Quenya ...

When, for your birthday, your students roast you by composing a Chreia in your honor. No joke. I was just roasted.

Ha! Do you want a photo of the Chreia or the presentation? I'll have to get one from Angel. I was too busy blushing and listening to think to take a photo. I'll text you the Chreia.

I had to resurrect this thread after hearing my 16 y.o. comment on her way out the door to face a U19 undefeated soccer team tonight. "I'm thinking I should just tell my coach 'Ave, Caesar, morituri te salutamus'. ("Hail Caesar, we who are about to die salute you")

Ironically, that is exactly what my older brother said to a youth leader right before a survival campout in which my brother was run over by a massive Suburban. Quite the experience and story. (He's fine, btw. He is the father of 8 kids.)

                                J- 6/96
                                S- 11/98

                                Still Homeschooling:
                                G- 4/04
                                D- 5/05
                                F- 7/08 (my only girl)
