R&S Math 3 Multiplication Charts (sea creatures)

I’m kind of super confused about how the sea creature chart would be helpful in drilling multiplication facts. I can’t understand how the rows of sea creatures would be used? (How is hat better than just looking at a traditional multiplication chart?) I’ve read through the information at the beginning of the TM and in the lessons where it’s used, but I’m not understanding it...
Any help would be much appreciated!

Following this! I'm with you! I purchased the blossom charts from MP & they have been very helpful.....but, I'm wondering the same on the multiplication chart. Did you ladies use this? Or just a regular multiplication chart?

I tried to explain how I used the sea creatures chart in this post from a few years ago. It might explain how the charts are *supposed* to work. You may decide they are not necessary. I would not get hung up on them.

Thanks for the info. I think you’re exactly right.....the important thing is that they learn the facts, by whatever means works for your kid. I have to keep reminding myself that these textbooks are written to be used in a classroom & not everything will apply to a homeschool. Thanks!

Thank you!! The responses on this, and the other post referenced, are very helpful. I’ll be skipping the poster in favor of flash cards
