    Horatius at the bridge answers

Can someone tell me if there are answers to the comprehension questions in the study guide? I can seem to find them in the guide and I don't see a teacher's manual. I would appreciate any help.

There is a key in the back of the guide to both the Comprehension Questions and an included Comprehensive Exam.

We ended up cutting ours in half...one thing I would love to see is the Q and A section separate or a copy of the poem nicely bound on its own as a keepsake after spending so long on it ds did not want to just recycle his book but after a year of hard work it is really not pretty

I know it is a thin book but it became such meaningful part of the year it would be nice to place in on our shelf next to the iliad and Odyssey etc...

It is not like you don't have a million other projects on your list but I figured it never hurts to make suggestions

Now that I have made it checking my son's answers I find myself confused about the significance of 393BC to much of anything. It says it is a lay about the year of the city CCCLX, but that is significantly after the event. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks!

See "Date of the Ballad" on p. 8 for the answer.
