    Dreadful tasks

Hey ladies, I have exactly 1 hour to come up with as long of a list as possible of dreadful tasks (that children despise).

Yep, one of those days. You know, where you longingly look at the school down the street and think, "they wouldn't try to pull this nonsense with one of those teachers!"

I've rounded up as much Easter candy as possible. Found some hidden in shoes in the closet even. But still, their shenangins continue. Daddy Movie night has been cancelled. They push on. Why?

So, I'm looking for dreadful tasks that will reiterate that school really isn't that bad...There's actually worse things that your mother will tell you to do.

I'm imagining baseboard cleaning, lightswitch scrubbing, a clean kitchen floor.

    Ideas?

Clean fridge, sweep garage, wash rugs(maybe this is fun but hose outside may relieve some wiggles...) Wash bathroom, scrub windows ( a child on each side if they are fighting how can you wash opposite sides of a window and stay mad

Pulling weeds. Cleaning out window sills. Washing windows in general. Baseboards are a great idea. Hand-washing floors.

I feel you. My children are still recovering from Easter too. I had my I can't handle these children all day everyday last week.

I put pennies in their hidden eggs to try and avoid this, but then we went to the community egg hunt and still ended up with loads of candy. Grrr.

Windowsills and windows, added to their list. I'm also sure the chickens would like a clean coop.

I feel your pain. We went to Easter Vigil because M was singing, but it has messed with everyone's schedule. Very little has happened today because it is nice out and there are easily 10 people next door roofing our neighbor's house.

          I suggest cleaning the basement...

Have them try to teach you a lesson while you wiggle and whine! See what bribes or punishments they offer you to behave!

At 4 I decided that any remaining schoolwork was a wash and just wasn't going to get done.

They started on their very long list of chores while the little one and I worked through her Preschool work. The living room baseboard cleaner found an egg. A bright pink hard boiled egg. Bwhahaha! See, all this is working out well, already.

Do you have pets? Scooping kitty litter and picking up dog poo are hated tasks here. Cleaning out the garbage cans is another one.
