Can you no longer customize the moderated cores? I see that it's a possibility with the Accelerated, but can't find a customize button on the moderated page. I don't use the cores, but I talk to people about them and would like to know :-)

Re: Customizing?
Cheryl,
I think you have to add the core into your cart first, and then you get options for customizing. I could be wrong, but I think that is how it works.

Re: Customizing?
Yes, I just tried it. Add a set to your cart, then the next screen has a "customize" button. When you hit that, it takes you to a screen where you can tweak any item you want.

Re: Customizing?
I just checked again, and now the buttons are there. I swear they weren't there last night! I could find them in the Accelerated, but not in the Moderated. Oh well, maybe there was a computer issue...or maybe I'm just nuts...or some combination of the two, LOL.Cheryl, mom to:

Re: Customizing?
Well, it's a good thing to know. I have to talk to some folks later this week and I don't want to get it wrong! Sounds like I DID have it wrong, if you can customize right from the main page.
So thanks for bringing it up!

ETA that I just put a Moderated core in my cart and if there is a way to customize it there, I can't find it...though that may not mean much, LOL.Last edited by Cheryl in CA; 06-05-2016, 08:25 PM.Cheryl, mom to:

Re: Customizing?
I did not have a great experience with ordering next year's stuff due to this! I initially emailed MP asking to have a few things taken out (we had already purchased Core Skills 3 that they initially said we'd need for 1st, then changed plans and moved it to 2nd so I didn't need another copy, we don't use R&S math, etc). I also wanted to upgrade from the art cards to the posters. They emailed me back and told me that to do any customization they would have to revert to the higher cost for every item and that it would actually be cheaper to order the intact core than have the things I didn't need removed. They then suggested I try to sell what I didn't need. This included the art cards, they wanted me to pay for both instead of being able to just upgrade to the larger, more expensive ones. I was not a happy camper. One of the things I love about MP and that keeps me coming back is their amazing customer service, and it just didn't seem right to me. So I called and eventually got it worked out satisfactorily with them. However, I'm worried this is the direction they are headed in. Such a bummer.Jen H

Re: Customizing?
Cheryl,
It sounds like there was a glitch on the site, as there should be a "Customize" button on both the accelerated and moderated curriculum package pages. One should be able to customize from the curriculum package page without having to add the package to the cart. If you or anyone else ever notices the button disappear again, let us know! We're still working the kinks out of the new website.
Speaking of our new website, I want to express our apologies to RanchMom regarding her (your) ordering experience. As we work with our new website and figure out exactly what it can and cannot do, we are trying to find the best cost/service combination possible. We value all of your all's feedback, especially during this period of transition as we experiment. Nothing is completely set in stone yet, so please keep letting us know how we are doing and how we can improve

Re: Customizing?
If your platform allows it, I think it would be great if you could make each module customizable within a core. Then, when you clicked on that module you could either switch it to a different level or deselect any item you didn't need for that module (like TM's you already own, wall charts you don't want/can't use, etc). If you switched to a different level for the module, then those deselection options would need to be there for that as well. Obviously, there would need to be an overall threshold for "too many items deleted, therefore no/reduced discount amount".Jennifer

Re: Customizing?
Jen,
This is a very difficult thing to do and neither our previous system nor our new system will allow it in a way that can take every possible scenario into account. For us to get to that point, we would have to invest in an enterprise-level custom system, which, as you can imagine, is beyond our means.
We strive to provide the very best customer service in the most affordable way. Thank you for bearing with us as we struggle to achieve this goal.

Could your system let you add things individually, then if you hit a threshold, provide the discount?Christine
