No Illini here, but not for the want of trying!
23 yo: Full scholarship to UIllinois Aerospace, with a signed letter from the dean... went with MIT
21 yo: Broke the family tie by becoming a Saluki (.... traitor!)
17 yo: Has lived in Japan for so long (since she was 6 yrs), and just couldn't imagine living in cornfields.
Hubby and I.... attended UIllinois back when Chief Illiniweck still danced the field (aka: the '80's).
JenDS, 26 yrs, graduated from MIT (Aerospace), recently completed the design and execution of unhackable military software... in his spare time.
DS, 24 yrs, graduated from SIU's School of Business, ENGAGED!
DD, 21 yrs, Senior in Education at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC
DS, 12 yrs, currently attending a classical school which would give HLS a run for its money.
All homeschooled.
Me: retired after 16 years of continuous homeschooling. Ahhh....Comment

We still had the honor of being within the Chief era as well. Father, brother, husband and me....may even send a kid or two to live with grandparents for a few years!!!

I just updated my little guy's age. He's 3 now. He told the lady giving samples at Costco that he was homeschooled too when she asked us if it was a vacation day. I put him down as preschool.
