When does MP "teach" oo and ee and ay, etc?

I'm looking through books C and D and not finding these, when are they introduced with MP?

The vowel teams are not covered in the current FSR Books. However, FSR Book E, which is coming in the next month or so, will cover the vowel teams, soft c and g and the 3 sounds of y. The book will be slated for the beginning of first grade.

Currently vowel teams are only introduced in kindergarten for reading using the blue Primary Phonic Readers.

Well, that will be perfect timing! We will likely wrap up book D at the end of February and I was trying to decide what to do next!

          Michelle,

We're working through Book D now, and I was planning to do the Summer Reading assignments as laid out in the K lesson plans. Am I understanding correctly that Book E will precede First Start Reading?

Book E will come after Book D. Book E will be scheduled the first few weeks of first grade, after the k summer reading.

You could continue on with Book E and do the summer reading after if you want. I just don't know when the book will be available.

Thanks for the information Michelle! It might be helpful for the Facebook MP Kindergarten group to know that changes will be coming to the First Grade curriculum for those that will be finishing in early 2016 like myself. Others might want to wait as I do until Book E is released. Mind if I post this on that page?
