Second Grade Core

Hello! I feel like I'm totally out of the loop after not having checked in for 6 weeks or so....it seems like a lot of the changes are starting to come together. I'm sorry if I've missed this on another thread, but what is second grade using for phonics now? I saw the addition of spelling workout, but is there going to be an additional phonics program comparable to SRA?

Blair,

In 2nd grade, we use SRA 3 mainly as a spelling program, so we are thinking that Spelling Workout will be enough of a spelling/phonics lesson. Also, at this point, students are working on sentences in their other subjects that continue to focus on parts of speech, correct punctuation and capitalization, and spelling.
