Hi, I have the history cards and a set of science (the scientist biographies). I think the cards are written from a biblical perspective - no macro evolution - not sure if I'm answering your question. *sorry*

The cards are very well done. My son has used them for oral presentations, sources for written reports and occasionally will look one up when something strikes his fancy. I keep them in half-sized binders in sleeves to try and encourage "reading" the backs for fun, but this has not happened. I'm still glad I have them for me!

    History cards

We have the history cards and use them each week. I mostly use them to have DC put the events in order and then I read 2-3 aloud. History is my weak spot, so I admit that I got the cards for when my DS8 would ask a question every week about something in the timeline and I wouldn't know the answer. They are beautiful cards with a summary of the event on the back. I've enjoyed having them, but I was hoping my DS8 would want to sit around and read them in his free time, which hasn't happened.

    Classical Writing Primer

    Hi,
We have used the CW Primer books. I wish they had one for summer, as we school around the year. I thought they were wonderful and plan on using them again with my subsequent children. We have also used the Classical Writing Program.
    Blessings,
    Jude

  • Classical Conversations Memory Cards and Classical Writing's Primer Books

Does anyone here use the Classical Conversations Memory Cards for History or Science?
I wanted to used them for "memory period" in the morning. I was curious if the Science one's use evolution?

Also, has anyone here used "Classical Writing" for the early grades before hitting Memoria's Classical Composition? Would anyone be able to tell me if their "Primer" books are a good lead into Classical Composition? Here's the website: classicalwriting.com

    Thanks! :0)
