Is it too soon to get a sneak peek as to how the 8th grade literature will be set up?

It is scheduled so that they read a couple of chapters at a time as they move through the literature.

That is very helpful. Thank you. Is the middle ages book actually scheduled, or are the kids suppose to just read through it?

    Hello.

The Middle Ages history book is used in literature class as a review of the history pertaining to the selections they are reading. They don't do the study guide. Then, in classical studies, they spend the first semester on The Book of the Ancient Romans and the second semester on Virgil's Aeneid. The poetry book won't have a study guide for this coming year because we won't be able to get that done, so you can use the poetry as much as you'd like. There isn't really a lot of time for it, and the entire year is verse anyway, so you will have your fair share of poetry!

    I hope this helps.

It looks like there are 4 books to be completed with study guides for 8th grade, but there is also a poetry book and the middle ages history book as well. How will this all be scheduled? Is the middle ages book scheduled with the literature? Will there be a study guide to go with the next poetry book?
