    3rd Grade Composition??

In the 3rd grade Lesson Plans there is a section for 3rd grade composition but I see no 3rd grade composition books on the book list in the front of the Lesson Plans book? Help! What is this supposed to be? I have all my books and was double checking everything last night for us to start tomorrow and I am stumped. What books are we supposed to be using for 3rd grade composition? Even under the Composition Teaching Guidelines it doesn't list what book you are supposed to be using for it. All it says is 'Complete one lesson in the workbook per week." What workbook????

Sorry, I feel as if I am losing my mind here!

    Hello.

I apologize for the confusion. The Composition lessons are located in the English Grammar for the Grammar Stage study guide. The left-hand side of the page is the grammar lesson for the week, and the right-hand side is the writing lesson. We are going to separate these into two separate books because it has caused some confusion, so if you want to contact us in a couple of weeks, we will send you the updated separated books.

    Regards,

    Tanya

        3rd Grade Grammar and Composition

Will there be any difference between the book with the grammar and composition combined and having them as two separate books, or is the content completely the same regardless of format? I remember reading another post on this subject that mentioned the reason for separating them was needing more room for grammar which made me wonder if the separate Grammar book would have more content. We are getting ready to start ours.

To clarify, the new separated grammar book will still be bare bones and intended as a supplement to Latin grammar study, correct? This will hold true throughout all levels of the series.
          The Older Boys:
          J- 6/96: (CAPD/mild ASD) working/living on his own
          S- 11/98: Jan. 2022- BYU-I accounting major

          The Middle Boys:
          G- 4/04 (mild ASD/mild intellectual delay)
          D- 5/05 (mild processing issues)

          The Princess:
          F- 7/08

          The Youngest Boy:
          M- 9/16

            ckinley,

You are right that the grammar is being tweaked, so you can also send me an email around the middle of Sept., and we'll replace the one you are using now with the new book.

            Regards,

            Tanya

              Enigma,

You are correct. This is still a bare bones supplement to our Latin studies. We're just spreading it out a little and reorganizing it. No major changes, but it will be pretty.

              Cheers,

              Tanya
