    2nd grade copywork

    Tanya,

In the booklist online it says that the 2nd grade package has Copybook 3 and Copybook Cursive in it. Is this correct or is it just Copybook Cursive (which is the same thing as copybook 3 but in cursive)? My daughter is doing NAC2 (the secular one since we are doing some American History this year) and I also want her to do the PL Copybook. I was thinking maybe she should wait and do the Copybook Cursive book with NAC 3. Or do your 2nd graders do all 3 in one year?

    Thanks!

    Shaina,

The website should say Copybook III 'or' Copybook Cursive, not 'and.' If students haven't completed NACI, they need to do Copybook III in manuscript. Sorry about the confusion.

Our students do Copybook Cursive, NACII, and the PL Copybook in their 2nd grade year. These are spread out through the week, but I suppose it is a lot of writing. Actually, the PL Copybook is done as part of their Latin class, and the main goal is for them to master that Latin vocabulary spelling.

Our students do all of their written work in cursive in 2nd grade.

    Regards,

    Tanya
