question about Latin test III in Latina Christiana I

Since I don't know Latin, I am not sure whether to take off points in the derivative sections D where it talks about giving the Latin word English words are derived from.. For instance.. For malice, the answer in the answer key is malum.. My son has mala.. Similarly with donation, instead of donum, he has dona.. with magnify he has magnum rather than magnus.. So do I take off points because of the endings.. even though he got the root right?

    Thanks..

I probably wouldn't take points off as long as he has the right Latin word. In the future, just ask him to give the Latin in the Nominative, singular for nouns or first person, singular, present tense for verbs.
