Greek myths or famous men of Rome?

    Hello,

I recently registered my son for that D’Aulaire’s Greek myths online course. However, now, I’m wondering if I should have chosen that famous men of Rome class instead. I’m thinking that it would probably be easier for me to teach the Myths and have the Memoria Academy teacher teach FMR. My son will be w 5th grader in the fall and will also be taking Latina Christiana online. . I’d appreciate some and advice on this, thank you in advance!

Does your child have a solid, working knowledge of Greek Myths already? In terms of chronologically, I would suggest Greek Myths before FMOR. But yes, agree with you that if you could only choose one for Memoria Academy, I would pick FMOR over D'Aulaires'.

Yes, we have to choose between the two classes. I’ve looked at the texts and think he will do better with the FMOR in a classroom settin wnd the DGMs with me. . Thank you!

Discussion is great for either class, but owing to his grade, he might find more same-aged peers in the FMOR class.

I would do Greek myths on my own and do the FMOR class. The Greek Myths is available on Audible, too.
