I just wanted to highly recommend the first video of MP's new series Classics Unraveled, with Jon Christianson -- illuminating and entertaining! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h65a5serrMM
It was a great episode, I enjoyed listening to it this morning. It captured the vibe and energy of Jon Christianson's excellent talks at Sodalitas into a 15 minute podcast. Highly recommend and looking forward to more.

We're so happy that you all like the series. Thunderstruck Thor has been an idea we have kicked around the office for a while now. Episode 2 - Epic Fail: The Curious Absence of Homer in Modern Media is coming next week!

We really enjoyed this, too! Although none of us know much about pop culture (my husband is the exception, so he was able to guess the Iron Man was what JC had in mind), it was a great reflection on the meaning of the term "classical" and it explained very well how the "classical hero" transcends time and stands in for a universal experience. A treat!
Just throwing in another vote for a podcast format of this. My boys loved the first episode, and it has made my oldest quite eager for Mr. Christianson's Divine Comedy MPOA class next year. But we severely limit their YouTube exposure (to practically nothing unsupervised). YouTube has a knack for obnoxious inappropriate ads or "suggested content" that is much easier to avoid in Google Podcasts, etc.
Great work on the content! I hope you'll reconsider, and release it as a podcast as well.
