When we go over the Pronounce & Say words and Vocabulary words our teachers always remind the students to be watching for these in reading and to raise a hand or give s thumbs up sign when they hear one of the words. Though, as Jen indicated, it is not imperative they recogize all the words when reading nor do they need to mark them all in their books. As long as the student is able to decode the words correctly and has understanding of the vocab so they get the meaning of the text, they are good.
