Bumping this, because I have not had to hear that electric pencil sharpener since the Pentel mechanical pencils came. Also, no problems with broken leads.

Not a single broken lead yet.
One pencil, per person, each with their names taped to them. I even have one.
I feel like Buttercup: “I will never love (anything other than my Pentel pencil) again.”
