Sodalitas/Teacher Training - No idea where to go? Try Justice and Mercy

Wow--what a start we had this morning! Jon Christianson just went from Greek Myths through Greek Tragedies discussing Justice and Mercy. I took 8 pages of notes; so good! This afternoon he's moving into the philosophers (and I have to miss to speak--boo!). This is a three day presentation, two sessions each day. Today he is focusing on classics. It is a wonderful way to overview the trajectory of the entire curriculum. I highly recommend you watch it now or recorded later!

What has everyone watched this morning?

Mrs. Lowe's opening on the two mountains--Parnassus & Sinai--was a perfect beginning. Well done, Leigh!

How do you watch a session when it is not live? Some that say "all day" go to a screen set to the schedule as wallpaper.

I think you have to wait for the recording if it is not live? But I may be misunderstanding your question.

Leigh Lowe was amazing as always, such a good plenary. She set the bar high. I have been venturing through the Classical Composition areas but look forward to going through Justice and Mercy when the recordings are available. I caught 5 minutes with Jon Christianson and it definitely sounded great! Looking back on it, I wished I started with Justice and Mercy from the get go.

But can't we go back and watch the individual sessions for each subject for a time if we miss it live? How do we watch prior sessions? Will there be links after the day is done? I've been able to watch 3 live. It's been great.

enbateau, they will be editing and publishing all of the talks once complete. Estimated time of two weeks to a month is what I have heard. Will have 90 days to.view once posted. You will get links sent to you once they are available.

That's exactly what I needed to know. Thanks. I guess I will try to make it live for all the ones that are truly pressing. The Classical Comp Fable breakdown was worth its weight in gold. I was so dreading that, and the instructor was so on point with her guidance that I feel completely prepared!

Agreed about attending the pressing ones. And I agree, the Classical Composition Fable discussion was fantastic and very helpful. And I am not even close to needing it yet, but it was very helpful.

Thanks for the recommendation pickandgrin ! I'll definitely add that to my list of talks to circle back to, which is already alarmingly long. ?

And enbateau I just have to heartily agree about the Classical Composition Fable talk. I was trying not to dread that course, and I'm actually really looking forward to it now. Quite the reversal!

Justice and Mercy is definitely on my list once the re-watch links are posted.
I spent today on the 6th grade track. Chreia/Maxim was great and I feel ready to tackle composition, and while I learned a lot, I am still afraid of Third Form. ?
