    Table Blessing for Copybook II

I can't find the Table Blessing that is referenced in the Copybook II Lesson Plans. Can someone help me? I have the 2nd grade CG and it has the opening prayer and closing prayer, but not a table blessing. My digital lesson plans for Copybook II do not have the prayers.

Yeah, Copybook Cursive II is for MP3 scriptures and memory work. I did not see any Table Blessing in a cursory flip through. The MP2 CG would reference Copybook Cursive I, but even that doesn't have a table blessing in it. The Table Blessing in MP2 might be referring to the Latin prayer they learn in Prima Latina that starts, "Bless us, O Lord, and these your gifts..."

Thank you for your response. It is actually Copybook II, not the cursive one. I’m using MP2, but the year 1 handwriting. The Copybook II lesson plans are what references the table blessing and it says “see appendix.” Maybe it’s in the MP1 CG appendix?

I just looked in my MP1 CG and that *is* what it is.

Bless us O Lord, and these Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ our Lord, Amen.

It's what they learn in Prima Latina.

            Good morning,

To confirm, the "Table Blessing" to which we refer is the same one in Prima Latina: "Bless us, O Lord, and these Thy gifts which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen." This prayer is currently in the Teaching Guidelines (p. 3) of the individual Copybook II lesson plans and in the Appendix of the 1st Grade Curriculum Manual. The individual plans are currently referring to the prayer's location in the CM, so we'll update the plans to refer to the Teaching Guidelines instead. Thank you for unintentionally catching this!
