    Lunar Eclipse

There's a full lunar eclipse on Sunday night.

I pulled out some great enrichment books included in grades K-2 that go along with this topic: The Moon Book, The Planets Book, Stargazers, The Big Dipper, The Moon Shines Down.

We made a ' telescope' aka a decorated paper towel tube and drew pictures of the different lunar phases in a moon book.

Fun application of science in the younger years and a great excuse to pull some old favorites off the bookshelf. (And another reason why I love the full set of enrichment books. Yay!)

It should peek here just before midnight and our forecast is for 19°! I'm praying for no clouds and that I can see it through a window.
