About how many hours of schoolwork are your 8th graders doing each day?

My eighth grader is working five to six hours most days. (This does not include when she sometimes sits with me in the evenings for extra help, or to do something we haven’t been able to get to together during the day.)

My eighth grader takes 4 to 6 hours a day 4 days a week and has one day that is shorter. His time might be slightly shorter than average because he is new to this curriculum and First Form Latin takes less time then Third or Fourth Form.

My eighth grader probably works 8 hours a day. He is working really hard to get A's in 3rd Form. Memorizing does not come easily. I had to drop EGR 5 and Literature for a couple weeks for him to adjust at the beginning of the year but we are able to get them in now.

We do 7-8 hours with music practice and lunch, so probably 6 hours of solid academic time.
