This link says Clark & Stuart are second cousins!

Wait! Jesse Stuart "The Thread that Runs So True" was from KY? That book informed my father's lifelong vocation as educator. Holy smokes! That is a cool connection. (adding Jesse Stuart books to 2019 reading list)

Martin also referred to Billy C. Clark during the Martin/Tanya talk on reading choices to impact your homeschool.

Caudill might be the guy--folklore and oral history sounds right.

    Jesse Stuart wasn't a lawyer.

    Maybe Harry Caudill?

Not Wendell Berry. Who can help me figure this out? Martin often mentions the Kentucky writer who was a lawyer and wrote stories from his life up in the hills. I think he talked about him in the CiRCE Contemplation of Home talks (which are superb, btw) called "Domus Without Domesticity" and "A Place on Earth."

    Thanks in advance!
