Re: Sodalitas Gathering - general chat thread

    Hi, Miah.

The SG rooms have chairs only - no desks. The SC room has chairs with arms, but the rest of the rooms have chairs without arms. If you are going to be in the SC room, we can easily move a chair without arms in there. We are set up with classrooms beside each other, so moving furniture in and out is not a problem. You can feel free to scout around and find something that suits you. Believe me, we have moved 635 rented chairs in here in addition to all the desk chairs already on campus to accommodate this conference. There is a nice variety!

If you are staying for the pre-conference, there are desks in those rooms. We purposely set those rooms up as classrooms to show the teachers what a traditional classroom should look like. The desks are sized for teenage boys, so they should be comfortable. But if you don't want to sit at a desk, you certainly don't have to. You can easily move a chair away from a desk to the back of the room or bring in another chair.

Our goal is to be as hospitable as possible, so don't hesitate to ask if you need anything at all.

I'll see you Monday! It's so close!

A weird and possibly fun question. I have an unusual looking and very intact cicada. Would you like it for an insects class?

        Miah,

Are you asking for the school? If so, why don't you bring it with you, and we'll show it to our fourth grade teachers. If you are asking someone specific on this forum, I apologize for hijacking!

I was asking for the school. The insects thread had it on my mind. I was packing up today and there it was, so I thought it might be fun.

            Last minute SG registration?

I have a friend who has just asked about coming to SG for Monday only. How are last minute registrations being handled?

What exactly is the “sup and shop” Monday night? My husband will be in town with me but not attending the conference. Can he come to this part? Is the shopping all Memoria Press curriculum or are there other vendors? I know dinner is not provided, so is the “sup” part good for purchase?

I can answer a few of those questions!

"sup" is actually being provided and included with your registration! There will only be Memoria Press materials available (no other vendors).

And I will answer your other questions! Sup and Shop is an opportunity to enjoy dinner with fellow attendees and browse a full display of MP products. We are essentially creating a convention booth, only at HLS!

Your husband is welcome to join you. Dinner is included in the registration fee, so there will be a fee for his dinner.
