    Logic 2 Final Exam Wording

Just a question about this..... the Traditional Logic II Final has some questions about 5 different arguments. One of these questions is worded like this: "What rule of inference is used?" I've looked at the text for Logic 2 and it doesn't use this wording 'rule of inference' to refer Modus Tollens, for example. Can someone explain this to me so my teen isn't completely thrown off? Thanks!

    Hi Susan,

That question should really be worded "Is it valid? If so, which mood (Modus Tollens or Modus Ponens)? If not, why not?"

    Sorry about the confusion.
