    Second Form Final Review

Hello. On page 190, Worksheet 10 of the Final Review, number 8: "Our commander will report our victory to the senate." My question is about "to the senate". The answer book has "senatu", but I thought it would be "senatui". I think this "to" indicates an Indirect Object, since the verb is a telling verb. The "senatu" would be ablative, but then it would be an ablative of means and wouldn't that be "by the senate" instead of "to the senate"? Thanks for any help, Lisa Wolfe

You are correct. The answer should be "senatui."
